![]() They were the Piikáni, or "Blackfeet," the Káínaa, or "Bloods," meaning "bloodthirsty," and the Siksikáwa, or "Blackfoot."Ĭrowfoot was born to the Káínaa, members of the Blackfoot Confederacy. Bison hunters and trout fishermen, they banded together to share hunting and foraging territory and ultimately to protect it against encroaching enemies. The Blackfoot Confederacy is a collective name for a number of tribes of Plains Indians who shared a common language and kinship, as well as similar enemies.
